Product lifecycle management (PLM) is the process of managing the entire life cycle of a product, from idea through technical design and manufacturing to its use and customer service in the field. PLM integrates people, data, processes and business systems and provides a product information backbone for companies. This project is about the Extended PLM, in other words, about the entire chain of companies.

Parthian participates in this project (together with her subsidiary Deon) to create a Technology Portal which can be used by all companies who have a technical issue (material or product related). The question can be dropped in a secure system, the problem (most likely a Root Cause Analysis or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis question) will be handled by Deon. Deon will be the independent reviewer. The problem will be solved by Deon, with or without the collaboration of multiple companies depending on the type of question. This way we can work in a multi disciplinary team on the subject. Thanks to the Technology Portal documents can be shared in a secure way. Therefor, (part of) drawings, technical datasheets etc. can be shared, chosen by the document owner. All legislation taken in consideration and of course all confidential documents will be handled carefully.

In this project Parthian worked together with Demcon, Thales, PM Group, USG Engineering and Norma (2015-2017) and will continue working on this project with Demcon, Thales, Serious-VR, Frauenhofer/UT Twente, and Recreate (from 2018 and forward).
